Mr. HU Xiangyang gave a speech on the conference pointing out that to enhance cooperation within the global community in disability affairs and present a successful CR Expo 2017 to the world is an important step in following the Opinions about Promoting the Development of Rehabilitation and Assistive Devices Industry issued by the State Council. This is also one of the priorities of China Disabled Persons' Federation and it has been included in the Key Points of Promoting the Development of Rehabilitation and Assistive Devices Industry in 2017. As the only national exhibition hosted by China Disabled Persons' Federation, CR Expo China has made new progress in co-building pavilions, planning exhibition areas, advertising to target exhibitors, inviting buyers as well as providing services to all clients. He expressed a warm welcome to establishments and professionals specialized in serving the disabled and the elderly to the Expo. Director HU also called for more attention and support from the society to our country’s disability affairs.

Director LI Xi of China Assistive Devices and Technology Centre for Persons with Disabilities said even with ten successful sessions, CR Expo China never stops its expanding process. Now its exhibits range from barrier-free facilities, rehabilitation equipment, prosthetics and orthotics to visual and hearing aids, which can benefit the life of hundreds of thousands of disabled and elderly persons. CR Expo has become the largest and most professional exhibition in assistive device industry of the strongest international influence in China. Being a gateway to the world’s assistive device industry, this exhibition perfectly shows what China has achieved in serving the disabled and elderly.

Vice Chairman OU Ling of Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation acknowledged the role of CR Expo in facilitating the advancement of Beijing’s disability affairs to guarantee that “Every disabled person has access to rehabilitation services”, for its previous sessions all took place in Beijing. Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation will help organize this exhibition by fulfilling the two tasks: first, distributing 80,000 tickets to Beijing citizens so that every disabled person will be able to attend the Expo; second, planning activities to show the public how to provide assistive device services to Beijing’s disabled persons under the service management mode of “Internet+” and at that point, it will offer one-stop services including assistive device application, evaluation, adaptation and purchasing to the disabled persons on site.

As the new co-organizer of CR Expo as well as an experienced organizer of various international exhibitions, Guangzhou Poly Jinhan Exhibition Co., Ltd. has been working to raise the exhibition to a new level by leveraging its partnerships, resources of client, buyer base and professional marketing and promotion. Up until now, the Expo has recorded significant increases in the number of exhibitors and visitors, and hit new height regarding its scale, up to 20,000m2 and number of exhibitors, about 300.

General Manager CAI Dongxiang of Guangzhou Poly Jinhan Exhibition Co., Ltd. introduced the highlights and strengths of this exhibition as follows:

New Cooperation Opportunities in the “Belt and Road”

The Belt and Road Disability Cooperation High-level Event will kick off at National Convention Center, from September 13 to 15. It is themed with promoting disability-inclusive development along the “Belt and Road”. Other meeting and forums including the 2nd ASEM High-level Meeting on Disability, Global Conference on Assistive Technology 2017, Beijing International Forum on Rehabilitation 2017, China Hearing & Speech Forum 2017 and Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2017 will be concurrently held with this event, which makes it a significant platform for international communication and cooperation.

Meanwhile, CR Expo China 2017, with the aim of “building a platform to connect the supply and demand around the globe”, has invited top buyers from Russia, Pakistan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and other countries along the “Belt and Road” to come for visiting and negotiation. At that point, Chinese buyers as represented by disabled persons’ federations, hospitals and elderly care establishments will bring huge purchasing needs to attend matchmaking conferences on site. Their arrival will certainly make CR Expo an ideal place not only for seeking new business opportunities and efficient trade but also creating new driving forces for the industry.

For the convenience of disabled persons and seniors in Beijing, there will be free bus service provided at a number of stations in the city.

At the time when China is pushing forward the “Belt and Road” strategy, CR Expo will embrace new breakthroughs and overall upgrade based on its ten years of growth. The development of assistive device industry will improve the life of millions of disabled persons and help them get back to the society. This explains why it earns a reputation as a promising industry for public good which will play an important role in building a “Healthy China”.

This autumn, Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2017 will show the world how it is going to boost the rise of assistive device industry.
