Resolution of CR Expo 2018 to Shape Industry Future

Press Release 2018.01.22

In recent years, continuous policies concerning development of rehabilitation and assistive devices industry have been issued. Among them are the Opinions about Promoting the Development of Rehabilitation and Assistive Devices Industry issued by the State Council and the launch of 12 pilot innovation projects, which indicate this young industry of trillion yuan value will welcome its prime time in near future given solid policy support and opportunities created on both its demand and supply side. Cross-section and collaboration pattern of development are facilitating the fusion of internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the industry of rehabilitation and assistive devices to provide a better life for the disabled and seniors.

Keeping up with this trend, Care & Rehabilitation Expo 2018 (CR Expo 2018) will take place at National Convention Center in Beijing from October 11th to 13th, 2018. The call for exhibition and visiting is officially launched.

Enlarged Scale to Cover Whole Industry Chain

Being the largest of its kind in China, CR Expo 2018 is once again upgraded to 4 pavilions which covers an area of 22,000 square meters, in the hope of meeting more exhibitors’ needs for showcasing. 80% of our previous clients have expressed intention to arrive this year even before our booth sales kicks off. Over 10,000 square meters of exhibition area has been reserved by globally known brands including Ottobock, Reha, Huistec, AOOMAN HAPPY AND HEALTH, SAIC MOTOR, Renaijiahe, Songyong, KAWAMURA, Sonova, Rejoin, Starkey, Fourier and AI-Robotics.

CR Expo 2018 continues to integrate resources available in order to create an international communication platform that dominates research and development, manufacturing and the whole market. It is our goal to produce synergies and more opportunities for the industry by gathering together suppliers of materials and fittings, information technology and electro-mechanic equipment, manufacturers of assistive devices and facilities for rehabilitation and medical treatment, as well as hospitals and rehabilitation and elderly care establishments.

Specialized Pavilions to Satisfy Multiple Needs

Among the disabled, over 70% have needs for prostheses, vision and hearing related assistive devices. Demands for assistive devices vary also according to degrees of disability. Facing such varying needs, this session of CR Expo has adjusted its pavilion planning to make itself more customer-friendly. Its themed pavilions of assistive devices, smart technology and barrier-free living will still receive spotlight, and at the same time, featured pavilions for elderly care, rehabilitation, prosthetics and orthotics, vision aid, hearing aid, assistive device fittings, assistive device application achievements, and industry bases are created.

Featured Pavilion for Rehabilitation will be a place for showcasing new technologies in the field of rehabilitation training, mental health assessment, equipment for special education and rehabilitation sports and providing solutions to the prevention, diagnosis, assessment, treatment, training and handling of functional disorder.

Featured Pavilion for Elderly Care will present elderly care products like furniture for seniors, sleep monitoring systems, stair lifts and smart curved stair lifts which are good example of how silver industry and assistive device industry develops together and how technologies in assistive devices are applied in the industry of elderly care.

Featured Pavilion for Prosthetics and Orthotics will introduce to the public products including intelligent prostheses/bionic hands and exoskeleton robots that well demonstrate the more intelligent and personalized design of prosthetics and orthotics.

Featured Pavilion for Vision Aids will display optical and electronic low vision aids, assistive devices for the blind, as well as solutions concerning reading rooms for visually impaired people and teaching rooms for special education.

Featured Pavilion for Hearing Aids is to display audiphones, artificial cochleae, wireless listening and language training system, and solutions to hearing test center and acoustic environment improvement, which will meet the varying needs of establishments and individual customers for low vision and hearing aids.

Rising Purchasing Needs from Buyers along the “Belt and Road”

Having successfully found target products and new suppliers, the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army (PLAGH), Family of Health Medical Equipment Co. Ltd., and Home Based Elderly Care of China Health Care Association decide to send more staff members for visiting and recommend our expo to colleagues and member organizations. We will continue to cooperate with the disabled persons’ federations, civil and administrative organizations, social groups and public welfare organizations and furthermore, invite more visitors representing medical, rehabilitation, elderly care and education establishments to come for purchasing, communication and exchange. Besides, certain disabled people and seniors with urgent needs for assistive devices and rehabilitation together with their family members will be invited.

We are also playing a positive role in facilitating the trade among countries along the “Belt and Road” in terms of assistive devices and commodities for special use. Traders and distributers from Russia, Ukraine, Czech, Slovakia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and other countries are going to bring large orders for high-quality but cost-efficient goods here.

Our call for exhibition at CR Expo 2018 is officially released and we are receiving a stream of reservations. We hope you will not miss the opportunity of meeting experts and elites of the industry in the golden autumn and together explore the key to future profits.
